            I studied bassoon with Arthur Weisberg and hold degrees from Stony Brook and Yale.

                Like every bassoonist, I have to contend with reeds, and need a source I can depend on. 

                I felt I'd be better off making them myself, and with that in mind, I purchased a Herzberg

                profiler (I believe the first one he sold)  I figured I'd pay for it by selling cane and reeds to

                my students and friends.  That was 1984.  Friends told other friends, and here we are.
